Why Buy Bullion?

Buying gold, silver and platinum bullion is a good way to round out your investment portfolio. Unlike stocks, bonds, cash or other paper assets, bullion has tangible value. It does not require an outside party to back it. No government needs to assure that it has value. The value lies within the bullion itself.

Gold is a soft, lustrous metal used in jewelry, coins, dental fillings and numerous manufacturing processes. In its pure form it is the most melleable metal known. A single ounce of gold can be beaten out to a 300 square foot sheet, which would be sufficient to cover the ceiling of a generous livingroom. Gold is one of the least corrodible metals and does not tarnish or develop a patina with age.
